Society of Young Publishers
Involved Redesign of the organisation’s Oxford pages Spec Uses PHP to dynamically insert common page elements and also to display information with date constraints, thus ensuring the site stays up to date automatically. A ‘What’s On’ page takes its data from a mySQL database and always displays the latest event. Key users can update the content simply by clicking on the item they wish to change. The site is compatible with IE and Mozilla-based browsers, Mac and PC. |

TTCint ‘intranet’
Involved Design, content creation, implementation and maintenance of a company ‘intranet’ (currently hosted on the web) Spec Makes comprehensive use of ASP for password protection, content rotation and database connectivity. The Logbook (shown) allows people to view, add, edit and delete problems they are having with the company’s database system. JavaScript is also used in many places. Due to a known site audience, the pages have been specifically designed for IE6 and make heavy use of CSS to reduce the need for images and make the pages load more quickly. |
